The litugy is one of the best means to give thanks to Triune God and worship Him. The Vatican Council Sacrum Sanctum Concilium No. 42 says , “And therefore the liturgical life of the parish and its relationship to the bishop must be fostered theoretically and practically among the faithful and clergy; efforts also must be made to encourage a sense of community within the parish, above all in the common celebration of the Sunday Mass”.
Through the liturgical celebrations of the Church, we participate in the Paschal Mystery of Christ, that is, his passing through death from this life into eternal glory, just as God enabled the people of ancient Israel to pass from slavery to freedom through the events narrated in the Book of Exodus (cf. Ex 11-13). The liturgies of the Church also help to teach us about Jesus Christ and the meaning of the mysteries we are celebrating.
To make the Liturgy God and man-centered the Liturgical activities of the church are organized in a well-planned manner and make the faithful more vibrant and alive. As a result, the people live life with faith and charity. Hence it is a God-given opportunity to make the people united in the love of God and enkindle each with the values of Christ and to be the genuine witness of God.
We celebrate together every day the Holy Mass along with the people. Holy hour, celebrations of the sacraments, recitation of Holy Rosaries to Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph, etc are some of the liturgical services. Proper prayers and readings are always preferred in the celebrations. People are given practice well in advance to make sure the better participation of the people. On the whole, our community surely celebrates the liturgy and para-liturgy in a beautiful way being as a community.
